Anyone who follows me knows I talk alot. About alot of things. Sometimes I get caught up on the "sex, love, pain" topic because it come to my attention more often than not but maybe I need to diversify who I follow. Anyway, here's some stuff I've picked up watching what everyone else is saying. 1. there are alot of people NOT having sex. Probably why it's a highly talked about topic.
2. If I wasn't the open-minded person that I am, I'd say there are alot of HOES on Twitter.
3. There's mass homophobia in the hip-hop/black community which allows for institutions such as Pause Police, etc.
4. People are way more sensitive than they present themselves to be.
5. People are also extremely contradictory; talking about being the most sexually charged person on 2 legs yet quick to condemn someone else with the same mindset.
6. The simplest statements are the most enlightening.
7. Balance, moderation and variety.
8. There are a LOT of music people trying to get on who know NOTHING about proper networking.
9. If you're gonna say something, prepare to back it up.
10. Life is as easy as you make it/want it to be.
I could go on but this is just off of observations made on various messages sent across the system. If I'm wrong about ANY of this, just tell me who I should be following in order to better understand my fellow person.
apparently me and blogging have a "i really like you but sometimes I don't want the responsibility of you" kind of relationship. updating a site all the time is hard work. every time I blink there's new content. how does one keep up with the jonses? I don't think keeping up with the jonses is the name of the game here. Better to be the first of whatever you do than to run with the pack. So i'm gonna be devising some things and trying to post more frequently on here because the site IS called "Paid and Popular". What I'd like to do is show people how to become either/or AND put y'all up on some things I find interesting as well. No I'm not a journalist. I don't wish to be one even though I envy the frequent flier miles. What I am is a male who is interested in the world and what it has to offer. iDeeJay. iPlayRugby. iStudyVariousMartialArts. iTalkAlotAboutAlot. So roll with me. There's no sales pitch here, I'm just gonna post things that I find cool or relevant to myself and others. Maybe even you. Welcome.
As a hunter/gatherer of music, I find wait times unecessary and annoying. And now I don't have to deal with them anymore.
Skipscreen.com is the reason. With this new tool in my Firefox browser I skip past the timers, adverts and other distractions and get to the point. Download today and leave your opinions in the comment box.
Lemme get this straight... We got budget cuts, tuition raises and all manners of financial fuckery abound, yet we somehow found money to hire WHO as head basketball coach?
It's a good move, I'm just bugging out about the timing.
I first saw Joe Rogan on an old show called NewsRadio. Funny guy. And he ponders existential dilemmas + practices Jiu-Jitsu too. Pirates, past lives, and sucking dick for homemade wine... not necessarily in that order.
"I was headed to jiu jitsu class tonight, and I was listening to the CNN coverage of the Somali pirate stand off on Satellite radio. It's pretty fucking crazy shit if you're not aware of the story. Basically there's a stand off between US navy warships and 4 ak-47 armed pirates with one American hostage, and they're adrift at sea for over a day in a lifeboat with no bathroom.
The somalia pirate situation is an incredibly complicated and fucked up problem. A lot of these guys were fishermen until European boats illegally overfished their waters and dumped millions of gallons of toxic waste in it. Hundreds of people have died because of the toxic chemicals dumped there, and some of these fisherman turned to a life of crime. It's an incredibly successful one, too. These guys are pulling off kidnappings and taking over boats all over the place, often hundreds of miles from the shore. Where they live is beyond fucked, there's no real government, everywhere you look there are guys armed to the teeth chewing khat, a weed that has amphetamines in it. Warlords run that part of the world, and in a land where the average person makes $600.00 a year, these motherfuckers are bringing in millions by holding boats hostage and demanding ransom.
It's a really scary situation, and there's not much people can do about it. It's a completely unstable area, and criminal activity has proven to be far too attractive and profitable. These cracked out pirates are fucking rock stars over there. They're rich as fuck, and they spend money like Tommy Lee at a strip club. They live in an incredibly violent world of warlords and disposable lives with virtually no one to stop them. I was sitting in my car just trying to imagine what growing up in that environment would be like.
Could you even imagine? That easily could have been your world. How incredibly unfortunate it would be to be born a baby in the middle of all that shit. Your daddy is a heavily armed, cranked up fisherman who hijacks ships, and your mom is the type of woman that wants a guy like that to fuck her. Just a complete shit situation. And it could have easily be you or I in that situation. At least that's one theory."
This show is probably my favorite on tv these days. Travel Channel in itself is one of the better cable stations but this show made it relevant to ALOT of people. Here's to more seasons!
I'm a guy. I do guy stuff. One of which means getting myself in and out of (mostly into) sexual/romantic entanglements.
So after vaguely twitting about the lack of fish taking bait as of late (no I didn't mean to rhyme that), Jonny suggests I listen to his song "Younge Man" for some sort of clarity on the situation. For my travelers, Younge Street is a big piece of road in Canada (Toronto I believe) where people walk around and get on BAD @ Caribana time. The song itself isn't bad either even though rock songwriting is a big 180degree turn from the usual (rap/rhyme 16 bars then string them together with 8 bar hooks). Check the band @ that one site that isn't Twitter or Facebook or Yelp! or Wikipedia or Google or...
